GET READY FOR THE VALDEZ KITE FESTIVAL!
Coming up on Friday, June 29^th Valdez will hold its second annual Kite Festival. The festivities will kick off with a kite building seminar starting at 10am at the Civic Center followed by kite flying on the Kelsey Dock Uplands at 11am. Parks and Rec summer camps are the place to be! All sports camps have great coaches that can give your child individual attention. Adventure camp will even offer 2 overnight trips to Willow Lake!

CONTINUING COMMUNITY
CLEAN UP DAY
Continue the good work started on Clean Up Day! Parks and Recreation will make their yellow clean up bags available for the public to pick up every Friday at the Civic Center. These bags can be used to clean up public areas of the community and left on the roadside for Parks Maintenance to retrieve. If you aren't sure that your bag will be spotted by Parks and Recreation you can call Parks and Rec to direct them to its location. Due to reduced funding for litter patrol this year, all community support is greatly appreciated. For more information about how you can help call 835-2531.
