9/01 Trespassing: Officers contacted a man who reported someone was riffling through his belongings. Animal Impound: A yellow lab was impounded after it was reported running at large at Bayside RV Park. Serve Time: Jared Nevala, DOB 9/15/81 of Valdez, checked into the Valdez Jail to serve time on his original charges of DUI and Misconduct Involving a Weapon. Found Property: A camera and accessories were found at the Small Boat Harbor. Please call Valdez Police department with descriptors to claim.
9/02 Assault: Officers responded to a residence for a report of an assault. After questioning, the complainant refused to press charges. Suspicious Person: A caller reported a suspicious person carrying a rifle. Officers responded but were unable to locate an individual matching the description given. Noise Disturbance: A local resident reported hearing a person screaming. Officers responded to the location but did not hear or see anything in the vicinity.
9/03 Remand: Kenneth E. Arnold, DOB 10/2/64 of Valdez, turned himself into the Valdez Jail because his Third Party Custodian was no longer available. Firearms: Local resident reported possibly hearing gun shots in the surrounding area. Nothing was found upon officer investigation.
9/04 Suspicious Person: Officers responded to a report of a suspicious hitchhiker on the Tide Flats. The individual was contacted and everything was determined to be fine. Harassment: A couple individuals reported to officers that someone was making threatening statements to them in court. This case is under investigation.
9/05 Fish & Game: A caller reported a truck driver hit a moose on the Richardson Highway. No injuries were reported and the information was passed on to the Alaska State Troopers. Theft of Property: Dispatch received a report of a cell phone stolen from Valdez High School. If you have any information regarding this incident, please contact the Police Department. Welfare Check: A caller requested a welfare check on an individual that had not been heard from for a while. Officers contacted the individual who was healthy and in good spirits. Traffic Complaint: Officers attempted to locate a vehicle that was reportedly driving recklessly in the Dock Point area. There was not a detailed description of the vehicle given. Intoxicated Pedestrian: A caller reported two intoxicated males approached his vehicle and knocked on the window while stopped at a stop sign. Officers contacted the two individuals that were looking for transport back to their home and gave them a ride.
9/06 Intoxicated Pedestrian: Officers responded to a report of an intoxicated male running down W Klutina yelling. The area was searched but no one matching the description given was located. Disturbance: Officers contacted an individual that was reportedly throwing a large chair down the street. The individual clarified he was simply taking a free chair home. Disturbance: Officers responded to a report of a noise disturbance at Glacier Sound Inn. The parties that were involved in a verbal argument were separated for the night.
9/07 Lost Property: Brown wallet was lost in the Valdez area. If found, please turn it into the Valdez Police Department. Welfare Check: Officers responded to a residence after an individual requested a welfare check on the residents. Officers determined everything and everyone to be fine. Welfare Check: A welfare check was requested on an individual after they did not show up to their house when they said they would. The individual was contacted and everything was fine. Parking: A vehicle is parked on private property and will be towed by management the following day if not moved. Fish & Game: A moose was hit on the Richardson Highway. No injuries were reported and the moose was given to charity.

8-31-14 Valdez EMS responded to a trauma call at the Valdez glacier dirt track. The patient was treated and transported to Providence Valdez Medical Center.
8-31-14 Valdez EMS responded to a medivac request.
8-31-14 Valdez EMS responded to a patient who needed medical assistance at the Valdez City jail. The patient was treated on scene.
9-2-14 Valdez EMS responded to a patient who needed medical assistance. The patient was treated at the scene and transported to Providence Valdez Medical Center.
9-2-14 Valdez EMS responded to safety awareness request at the Hermon Hutchens Elementary School.
9-3-14 Valdez EMS responded to an individual with an injury. The patient was treated at the scene no transportation was needed.
