VHS VOLLEYBALL TRYOUTS

Coach Ronal Langseth - Volleyball Tryouts are coming soon and August 5th will be our first official practice and try-out! Many student athletes have taken the opportunity to improve their skills. For some it was the many sessions of open gym, others took advantage to our local camp hosted by Mr Schug, with instruction from Coach Ken from Wakeforst...and still others traveled to Anchorage and beyond to better themselves.

Let me remind everyone that I take try-outs very serious, and will be looking for the best fit for our Buccaneer program. With that said, in high school volleyball there are no guarentees. Key things I will be looking for are attitude, effort, teamwork and skill.

NEEDS: Each player will need clean volleyball shoes, knee pads as well as running shoes for running outside. Proper clothing should include spandx or sport shorts, and a clean t-shirt. NO CUT OUT SHIRTS. Additionally, each player will need a copy of their current sports physical provided to me. Grades: Each student in grades 10, 11 and 12 must have earned at least a 2.0 and no F's last semester. Incoming freshman are not included in this ASAA requirement.

TIME & PLACE: This season, practice will begin in the junior high gym.
Aug 5, 6, 7, 10, 11- 8am
Aug 12 3:30am

Practice will be 2-3 hours. Players should be ready, strectched and warm-up by 8am...not just rolling in the gym.
