ALEX DERIFIELD SIGNS WITH FORT LEWIS COLLEGE
Valdez High School’s Alex Derifield signed her letter of intent to continue her academic and basketball careers at Fort Lewis College in Colorado. Daughter of Chris and Cheryl Derifield, Alex is an honor roll student and plans to study Exercise Science at Fort Lewis. Derifield, a 5-foot-4 guard, was second team all-state selection as a Junior and Most Valuable Player of the 2012 Elks Tournament, named to the ACS Pepsi Invitational/Seward Classic All-Tournament Team in 2012.
