THIS FRIDAY- BIG PRIZE FRIDAY
 This Friday, the angler catching the largest silver salmon in the Valdez Silver Salmon Derby will win $500 in addition to the daily prizes. It’s Big Prize Friday and anglers need to do nothing more than purchase a derby ticket before going fishing and weigh-in their silver at the weigh-in station.

SILVER SALMON SPECULATION
The Valdez Silver Salmon Derby will end this Sunday. That means, the winner for KVAK’s Silver Salmon Speculation will have a winner! The winner will be announced the following Tuesday, September 7th @ Noon. Stay tuned to KVAK 93.3FM & 1230AM to hear the results of the lucky winner to win $200 in fishing gear from Prospector and South Central Hardware.

CATCH A FISH- FEED A FAMILY
 Anglers can donate unwanted fish to the Valdez Food Bank. Drop off your fish at the weigh-in station or Easy Freeze between 6am-11pm and it will be vacuum packed and taken to the Valdez Food Bank.

SILVER DERBY BEGINS AND SPECULATING ENDS
The Silver Salmon Derby began this past Saturday closing the KVAK Silver Salmon Speculation contest, with over 300 total guesses as to the weight of the winning silver salmon at the end of the derby. The Silver Salmon Derby runs until September 3rd, 2010 so all speculators will have to anxiously stand by to see if their guess has measured up for a chance to win $200 in fishing gear from Prospector and South Central Hardware.
