The Wasilla Kentucky Fried Chicken/A&W suffered a catastrophic collapse according to Wasilla Police. The Wasilla PD posted on Facebook asking residents to avoid the area near the Fred Meyer shopping center due to flying debris and emergency vehicles. They reported multiple reports of debris (not just from KFC) hitting and damaging vehicles.
The National Weather Service issued an extended the wind warning through Monday evening and the Wasilla Borough has advised residents to shelter in place. All city of Wasilla administrative offices will be closed Monday.
