The City of Valdez 2022 construction season will be underway in the upcoming weeks. Here are some updates for the upcoming street jobs around town this week, June 30th thru July 6th.
Work will begin on East Hangaita Street from Meals Avenue to the Senior Center and Hospital parking areas on July 6th. Once a construction schedule has been receive the City will inform the public of the expected road closure date of East Hanagita Street and of the Detour to be established for the duration of the project.
Work will begin on Whalen Avenue in late August. The City will inform the public once a construction schedule is received and the road will be permanently closed to the public once construction begins.
Landscaping and topsoil work will begin July 5th on the Pavement Management Phase II Black Gold project.
