Husky wrestling concluded this past weekend at the 47th annual Tanana Wrestling Invitational, the tournament is considered to be the "unofficial" state tournament for the middle school level.

For the second time in a week, the Buccaneers found themselves traveling to Delta Junction - this time to compete in the Aurora Conference Regional Tournament. The Bucs entered the tournament undefeated in conference play and the #1 seed in the tournament, which rotates between the Aurora Conference schools each year (Valdez is slated to host again in 2025).

We decided to do Regionals the hard way this year! On Thursday, the second place, Valdez Girls, played the third place, Galena Hawks. We did not play well, and with 20 turnovers and a poor shooting percentage, lost 39-47.
