We often talk about how many of the things we learn from basketball extend beyond what happens on the court: things such as character, leadership, representing us as a team, school, community and even more. 

The Lady Bucs made the long bus ride up to Fairbanks again this weekend. This time facing off against the very talented Monroe Lady Rams.

The ASAA State Nordic Ski Championships were held in Anchorage this year, and the Valdez Buccaneers traveled with 8 of their finest to compete in races over the course of three days.

The VHS Academic Decathlon team traveled to State this past week and competed against schools from around the state in 10 individual competitive areas, culminating in a live Super Quiz event where they squared up against other teams on stage in front of an audience.
