VCS Principals have each nominated a teacher from their school to be recognized for all they do.
HHES: Melissa McCumby has gone above and beyond by welcoming a student teacher into her classroom and making them feel right at home. Every day, she inspires learning with her engaging teaching style, creating an environment where students feel supported and encouraged. Melissa consistently goes the extra mile to ensure her students feel cared for, demonstrating her commitment to their success.
GMS: Mara Cummings comes to mind for GMS. She has been creating incredible Friday science projects for the whole student body and experiments for her classes. She fills in for other teachers as needed and always contributes positively to the school culture.
VHS: Isaac Deaton has shown a great ability to care about the students and show them a productive manner to achieve their goals in the classroom and in Life. He continues to maintain a strong, positive outlook for his classroom and adds on the needs as a Coach for our Wrestling team.
He stands out as an amazing asset to the Valdez Buccaneers team!
