The Valdez City Council currently receives $100 per Council meeting but a new amendment being proposed Tuesday night would provide a stipend of $300 for every City Council meeting and an additional stipend of $150 for every special meeting and work session attended. The mayor would receive $330 per Council meeting and $180 for special meetings and work sessions. The City Council will have the first reading of the amendment this Tuesday night.
