VALDEZ, ALASKA. (November 19, 2024) – Emergency services responded to a structure fire at 1410 Richardson Highway on November 18 as Police and Fire Dispatch received the call at 7:13 p.m. Valdez Fire Department Engine 2 arrived on the scene at 7:20 p.m. to find the trailer fully engulfed in flames.
Valdez Fire Department personnel quickly searched the back of the trailer and confirmed that all occupants had safely evacuated. One individual was transported to Providence Valdez Medical Center for evaluation. Tragically, family pets were found deceased inside the trailer.
The fire was controlled by 7:48 p.m., but the trailer was deemed a total loss. The cause of the fire remains under investigation, and fire personnel cleared the scene at 9:03 p.m.
