Courtesy of Coach Deaton – Buccaneer wrestling concluded this past weekend at the ASAA state wrestling championships. The Buccaneer boys finished 5th overall, the best finish as a team since the 2013-2014 season (3rd place). Individually the Bucs had 7 placers: Kaden Vanbuskirk (3rd place 130 pounds), Logan Beck (3rd place 135 pounds), Dalen Beck (2nd place 160 pounds), Romen Weber (3rd place 171 pounds), Warren Blood (4th place 189pounds), AJ Tudela (5th place 189 pounds), and Kirstyn Passin (5th place 145G).
This year the Bucs will graduate seniors, the largest class we have pushed through our program. Graduating are: Rylen Case, Landon Metzger, Dalen Beck, Romen Weber, AJ Tudela, Warren Blood, James Garcia, Carlie Vanbuskirk, Travis Ray, and Andrew Baczuk.
