VHS: Sarah Hopkins
Sarah has her hands in many fires and while that usually includes stress and hard evenings, she handles it with a smile everyday.
She has spent her Fridays (as with Rachel Hamilton) with her class full of needing students and they walk away with progress towards mastery.
Sarah cares deeply about making sure all students become what they are meant to be, our future leaders!

GMS:Jessica Vincent

Jessica goes above and beyond in everything she does. She builds strong connections with her students, earning a reputation as a trusted adult, mentor, and an inspirational teacher. As the Student Council advisor, she dedicated countless hours to running concessions, planning and preparing for December’s dress-up days and activities, and organizing a fantastic assembly to celebrate our sports teams and boost school spirit.And that’s not all—Jessica also stays after school twice a week for After the Bell tutoring, always willing to lend a hand. She’s a true team player, a problem solver, and brings a positive outlook to everything she does.

HHES: Karen Mehl
Karen has been a hard working student centered teacher for HHES for several years. She puts a personalized touch on her lessons creating high student participation, both in the classroom and outside the classroom. Students are excited to be in her class. It’s great to see the large amount of hands-on lessons in her classroom. Great job Karen, you are appreciated by the students, staff, and parents of Valdez.
