Valdez won the last time they faced Galena and things went their way on Saturday too. The Valdez Buccaneers blew past the Galena Hawks 73-37. The Buccaneers have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won five contests by 27 points or more this season. Valdez’s victory was their sixth straight on the road, which pushed their
record up to 7-6. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 73.2 points per game. As for Galena, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 3-8.
Valdez will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they’ll take on Cordova at 8:30 p.m. on February 13th. Cordova will roll in looking for their seventh straight victory, something Valdez surely won’t give up without a fight.
