B Team’s Coach Christensen writes: “The girls were so excited to have their last games of the season on home court during the Spring Fling Tournament. During our round robin games, we lost 3 and won 2. These stats put us going head to head with our own C Team. C Team started the game with some strong playing. Serves and passes were in their favor. In fact, they were ahead most of the game. B Team pulled off some amazing team work, involved with good communication and great set ups. We took that game 25:21. That win put us up against Cordova, whom we hadn’t won against yet this season. The starting team went on the court, being energized and pumped up, ready for a win against the Wolverines. They took that win with great pride and a boost of confidence. The championship game was against Delta 1. The Delta Grizzlies took the title of ‘Champions’ in 2 short sets. Kinleigh Day and Hazel Vanderpool were named into the All Tournament team. This season has been so fun watching the girls improve in so many areas, some of which are life skills that will pay dividends in years to come. They have been such a fun group of girls!
C Team’s Coach Fuschetto writes: “The C team wrapped up their season this past weekend at their home tournament. During Friday’s round robin play they won two games and lost three, which set us up to face our own B team in the single elimination bracket on Saturday. C team came out on fire with tough serves and took the lead throughout most of the game, but ultimately fell just shy of a win losing 21-25. Amelia Alex and Averey Franklin were named to the all tournament team. The Huskies improved immensely from the beginning of the season and I could not have been more proud of how well they played all season!
