Middle Schoolers Aiden Holloran and Harvey Voska interviews Sarah Carter about the Valdez Avalanche Center and the importance it holds for the community.
The KVAK Crew had a bit of fun on April Fools Day, breaking into regular programming with Live & Local breaks that were seemingly broadcast from around town. In reality, Laurie and Robert were in the KVAK studio making up ludicrous scenarios to fool the community and Marianne called in from Missouri to take a break. So, did anyone get fooled? YES, we had a call from one listener wanting to verify the huge PFD Dividend amount and another visitor to the office told the staff she was jealous we got to go fishing and was impressed with all of our reporting. Those who were fooled, had a good sense of humor about it. We hope you enjoyed our goofiness. If you didn't get a chance to tune in Friday, April 1st - the break podcasts are available below. (Disclaimer: Most, if not all, of the content contained in the podcasts below is made up). *Oh, the radio spot offering 1/2 off Prospector Jelly Beans that were dropped in the parking lot was also a spoof!)
