The Valdez Museum is closed to the public until May 1, 2020 due to community health concerns over COVID-19. We appreciate all the community support, and want everyone to know that museum staff are seeking ways to provide “virtual” exhibits and educational programs. Via Facebook live we hosted a “virtual” Opening Celebration for Spring Into Art 2020, our annual Student Art Show. Video of the March 20th event is posted on our Facebook page, and a sampling of photos from the over 300 pieces of artwork created by local students pre-K through 12th grade is posted on the VMHA website: www.valdezmuseum.org. That’s also where you can find the latest information on more “virtual” happenings from your community museum!
