We fully support the recommendation made by CDC and our local and state governments to encourage social distancing among our elders in the community.

We are committed to providing services to Valdez seniors and will work diligently to assist in making everyone’s lives easier and safer during this time.

We will deliver Meals on Wheels and provide rides as usual, but our dining room will be closed for lunches and normal scheduled activities at the facility.

If you are interested in meals to go, please call 907-835-5032 with your orders by 9:30 am, Monday – Friday. We will be happy meet you in the lobby or in the parking lot with your meal.

No changes will occur for our MOW recipients. All lunches will be delivered on schedule, along with normally scheduled deliveries of Food Bank bags and TEFAP.

Rides for seniors will be provided as usual. Please call our office to schedule rides from 8:30 am – 3 pm, Monday – Friday.

In the weeks ahead, we at the Senior Center will endeavor to meet the needs of those we serve. We are currently partnering with local agencies to ensure that high risk citizens in Valdez receive the services they need.
