KVAK's Laurie Prax interviewed Valdez City Schools Superintendent TIm Bauer regarding the upcoming Valdez City Council meeting Monday night at 7pm. Topics covered include new business items, school trips and discussion about social emotional learning.

KVAK's Laurie Prax interviewed Christina Love who is a Senior Specialist with the Alaska Network on Domestic Violence & Sexual Assault. Love was brought to Valdez by the Valdez Counseling Center to conduct training about trauma and addiction. She will also be telling her story in an informal setting on Tuesday, Sept 20th from 6pm to 7pm during a "Community Conversation" at the Coffee Company.

KVAK's Laurie Prax talked with Travis Million, CEO of Copper Valley Electric Association (CVEA), about the agreement recently signed by CVEA and Alyeska Pipeline Service Company (APSC) that allows for the exchange of energy. On May 17th, CVEA and APSC finalized an agreement to begin construction of an electrical interconnection between CVEA grid and the Valdez Marine Terminal (VMT), allowing them to exchange energy.
